I love Houston, enjoy public service and believe that city hall is where I can make a difference—bringing Texas values, extensive business and political experience, and providing the strong positive leadership that Houston needs to move forward.

My roots in Houston go very deep. I started a small business in the West Houston area over 30 years ago and continue to work and raise my family here.
I have 20 years of public service, most recently as chair of the State Board of Education, appointed by then Governor George Bush. My commitment is reflected in a perfect attendance record throughout my years of service.

As a concerned father, public servant and community activist, I have begun to see some changes in Houston over the past few years. Our city is at a crossroads. Either we will realize our potential as a truly great city or suffer or fall into urban decay. Houston needs a city leader who will ask the tough questions and take action on the tough issues that face us: to find sensible solutions to crime, higher taxes, illegal immigration, and education. With your support on November 6th, I will be honored to be this leader.
